Gardening Fair and Free Seed Library Returns to the Library
The Longmont Public Library is excited to announce our 4th Annual Gardening Fair, taking place from 1-4 pm on Sunday, Feb. 23, in the Longmont Library Meeting Rooms. Our Free Seed Library will open a week later, on March 2, offering community members the opportunity to kickstart their spring planting by selecting up to six seed packets for free.
“We are excited to continue our Free Seed Library and get set up for our 5th Annual Gardening Fair,” said Denise Young, Library Technician at Longmont Library. “This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability and community engagement, and residents love it. It’s always a fun and well-attended event.”
The Gardening Fair is a wonderful time to connect with local organizations and businesses, learn more about Front Range gardening, ask questions, and fine-tune your 2025 garden plans.
Thanks to generous donations from The Friends of the Longmont Library, all attendees can choose up to six vegetable, herb, and flower seed packets to take home. Seeds will be available while supplies last in the Library’s west Lobby area.
Of course, the Library has shelves of resources about Colorado-specific gardening, container gardening, companion planting, water-wise gardening, soil amending, composting, and more. Join us in welcoming spring! The Gardening Fair is just one Library is committed to… your growth.
Join us! And happy gardening.
