Head to Tales
Head to Tales
Growing up, I loved the library. (Still do!) Which meant I spent a lot of time in the “Mom Taxi.”
Most of you remember what I’m talking about. Need to check out some books? Get in the car. Summer movie at the library? Get in the car. Homework due tomorrow? Get reminded about proper time management and then get in the car. The only thing Mom was missing was a fare box, and I’m sure she was tempted.
It’s a different world now, of course. Many activities have gone online thanks to the pandemic, and “the car” is likely to be a fast NextLight connection. (Especially when handling those night-before book reports!)
But armed with that connection, the Longmont Public Library is just as much of a hub as it always was.
Do your kids need a good story? We can be your ride to the library’s online story times.
How about that study time? The library now has live tutors on demand from the Princeton Review. Or maybe you’d rather get some class with The Great Courses and other learning and training opportunities, or even check out a new language with Pronunciator.
We haven’t forgotten the adult meetups, teen activities and good old kid stuff, of course. Heck, you can even still find yourself some books – what a concept!
So fire up the fiber and head on down. (And if you’re not a NextLight customer yet, we’re glad to help you sign up, too.) It’s a faster trip than the old station wagon used to be – fewer cracker crumbs, too – and there’s still a great destination at the other end.
Go ahead. Take the wheel.
