Trash, recycling and compost collection will not be provided on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Wednesday, Jan. 1. Residents with Wednesday collections will have their carts picked up on Thursday each of those weeks.

The Waste Diversion Center, 140 Martin St., also will be closed to drop-offs of all materials that require entry through the gate (including block Styrofoam and holiday trees) on the following dates this holiday season:

• Friday, Dec. 20, from noon to 3 p.m.
• Monday Dec. 23, through Thursday, Dec. 26
• Monday, Dec. 30, through Thursday, Jan. 2

The single-stream recyclables area in the front of the center will remain open for drop off of items such as paper and cardboard, containers and plastics. Holiday lights and wrapping paper receptacles are also located in the front area.
