LevelUp Recap

Hats off to the sponsors, players, volunteers and attendees who brought the magic to last month’s LevelUp Longmont! In its second year, the free gaming and esports festival welcomed close to 350 people to the Longmont Museum.

Relive the magic; see some event pics here.

Under an autumn blue sky, the Museum became a hub of play, friendly competition and discovery. Kids and adults raced, competed, maneuvered robots, made music and cheered competitors on. Everywhere you looked, people were playing.

The smiles said it all, and attendees were already eager to return next year. Laura Jennings, who brought a dinosaur-drawing activity to the Chill Zone, said participants were so excited that she “would do it again in a heartbeat.” Ryan Laney of Airship Overdrive called LevelUp “one of the better convention/festival experiences he had attended,” praising the friendly and helpful staff and volunteers.

Thirty-two volunteers helped bring the festival to life, while 14 vendors and community organizations joined the fun. Twenty-four players competed in esports tournaments, and Quest Logs encouraged participants to explore, play and try something new.

Congratulations to our tournament winners!

In Street Fighter 6, first place went to “Perfect Reads,” second to “Big Book Lovers” and third to “The Denver Beez.” In Brawlhalla, Spamboy took first place and Auryn took second. Congratulations also to our festival competition winners! All winners have been contacted. If you haven’t claimed your prize yet, come see us!

Thank you to everyone–vendors, sponsors, volunteers and attendees–who made LevelUp 2026 possible. You brought the energy, creativity and fun. We can’t wait to see you next year!

What’s brewing for 2027?

We’re already thinking about next year: an even more community-minded gaming and esports festival, with more ways to bring people together through play, technology and shared interests.

For now, though, we’re taking a well-earned breather. The LevelUp team will be reflecting on this year’s event, listening to what our community had to say and dreaming up plans for next year
