Longmont and Denver Area Agencies Offer Utility Payment Assistance

Longmont residents count on the City to provide safe, reliable and high-quality services. But the cost of those services continues to rise. Many in our community, especially those with limited incomes, need extra help to make ends meet. The City of Longmont has posted a list of 24 agencies that offer utility payment assistance at https://longmontcolorado.gov/departments/departments-e-m/finance/utility-billing/assistance-agencies.

Applicants must meet stringent qualifications and some programs are designed for the especially vulnerable populations in the community like people 55 and older, tribal members, Lupus patients, veterans, and MS patients.

Longmont’s Utility Billing division also offers payment programs for residents who are behind in their payments. If you are unable to pay by the date noted on your bill and you wish to make a payment arrangement, please call Utility Billing Customer Service at 303-651-8664 between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. Payment arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis. Failure to pay your bill may result in your service being disconnected.

If you receive a disconnect notice and payment has been made, please call Utility Billing Customer Service at 303-651-8664 between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.

A drop box for payment is located across the street from the Civic Center on Kimbark Street between 3rd Avenue and 4th Avenue. Drop box payments must be received before 6 am Monday through Friday to be posted the same day. For your protection, do not place cash in the drop boxes.
