Longmont City Council to Return to In-person Meetings
After a winter of hosting virtual council meetings, the Longmont City Council will return to their familiar surroundings at the Longmont Civic Center, located at 350 Kimbark Street, beginning March 29 at 7 pm.
Meetings will be open to the public and the council will return to the customary format of seeing and hearing from the public face-to-face.
Meetings have been held over a virtual video platform since the start of the pandemic two years ago. City Council members began meeting in-person earlier, albeit with face coverings this year, but quickly switched back to remote sessions after the Omicron variant became prevalent.
It is expected that there will be no mask requirements in the council chambers when the meetings go live again at the end of the month. Instead, masking will be voluntary and welcome for anyone feeling more comfortable wearing a face covering.
Meeting agendas can be found online at https://www.longmontcolorado.gov/departments/agendas-and-minutes/agenda-management-portal.
If you cannot attend in person, there are various ways to view the livestream of the City Council meetings:
- Via the Interactive Agenda on the City’s Agenda Management Portal. This method allows you to view the video, agenda and associated meeting materials in one window.
