Longmont Marijuana Regulations Can Be Found Online
The results from a City of Longmont online survey, and the notes from a recent public forum have been posted to the City’s website at https://longmontcolorado.gov/departments/departments-n-z/planning-and-development-services/marijuana-regulations.
The City of Longmont conducted an anonymous online survey in October 2016 to gather feedback on the frequency of growing marijuana in Longmont homes and to gauge the needs of medical marijuana users. Eighty percent of respondents say they don’t grow pot in their homes; 27 percent of those that grow say they have between 6 and 12 plants in their homes. The entire results of the survey can be found on the City’s marijuana regulations web page.
In addition, Longmont City staff hosted a public forum on October 22, 2016 and heard directly from residents. The notes from that meeting also can be found on the web page.
The public feedback from the survey and the forum will be presented to the Longmont City Council as it considers options for regulating home growing of marijuana for personal use.
