Longmont Peace Officer Memorial

Police Memorial Longmont

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated Peace Officers Memorial Day (May 15, 2020) and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Each year our nation loses between 140-160 law enforcement officers in the line of duty. Each year Longmont Public Safety Chaplains and public safety staff pay tribute to those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Longmont Peace Officer Memorial was set as a community event on May 15 at 5pm. Due to the 2020 Corona virus pandemic, the Peace Officer Memorial has been pre-recorded. The service will be released at 5:00pm on May 15.

To watch the service after 5pm on May 15, 2020
