UPDATE (9/15/26) Longmont Recreation Center Swimming Pools Reopen: New Water Play Feature Celebration Rescheduled

The Longmont Recreation Center lap pool and hot tub will reopen on Thursday, Sept. 17. Lap swim hours will be Monday – Friday, 5 am – 8:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 7 am – 4:30 pm. Water fitness classes will resume starting Monday, Sept. 21. Additional pool schedule information is available at longmontcolorado.gov/pools.

 

The pool has been closed for the installation of a new interactive water play feature in the leisure pool area. Because of construction delays, the leisure pool will remain closed until the end of September and the Grand Reopening event has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10 at 11 am.

 

The new play feature will include:

  • Three exciting water slides – two side-by-side racer slides and one big open-top curving slide.
  • A designated spray play area for those who love getting splashed, plus splash-free zones for those who prefer to stay dry.
  • Interactive water tables with movable pieces and flowing water for creative play.
  • Two toddler-friendly play features designed especially for our youngest swimmers.

 

Grand Reopening Celebration: Bring the whole family and all your friends!
Everyone is invited to celebrate the completion of the new play feature on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 11 am at the Longmont Recreation Center. The celebration will include an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, the opportunity to play at the new feature as well as snacks, bubbles and rubber ducks! No registration is required. Admission is included with a recreation pass or by paying the regular daily admission fee.
