Longmont Senior Services Hosts Cultural Enrichment Programs This Summer
This summer the Longmont Senior Center will host three cultural enrichment programs – and an ice cream social. Sponsored by the Friends of the Longmont Senior Center, these programs are educational, insightful and intriguing.
- Legendary Ladies (Friday, June 23, 3-4 pm) – Costumed performers bring four historical characters to life. This includes Alice Ramsey, the first woman to drive cross country, and Lady Catherine Moon, a spunky rancher who married into British Royalty. Registration # 383000-02
- Ice Cream Social (Friday, July 7, 1:30-2:30 pm) – Registration # 383000-03
- Denver Dolls (Friday, July 7, 3-4:15 pm) – This sassy, all-female vocal trio is inspired by beloved WWII era shows, performing music from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Registration # 383000-04
- Ranching Women of Colorado (Friday, August 25, 2-3:15 pm) – Author Linda Wommack shares stories of women ranchers who thrived in roles outside the norm. Registration # 383000-05
