Veterans Day Edition- Who are YOU running for?

On Saturday, November 11th, 2017, Longmont Recreation and Golf Services will kick off the Veteran’s Day celebration by hosting the 43rd Annual Longmont Turkey Trot. This year’s races will feature two courses: a 10K (with a wheelchair division) or a family friendly 2 mile option.

Proceeds from the race go toward the Recreation Youth Scholarship program, offering Longmont residents 17 and under, $100/year to use towards recreation activities taught by recreation staff, including swim lessons, ice skating, and more!

Race entry fees range from $18 to $30 (per age and distance), and time is running out! The last day of early-bird registration is Thursday, November 9^th at 12:00noon.

How to Register:

• Online through City of Longmont Recreation registration software,
  
  • If you’re visiting the website on your mobile device, use this link https://rec.ci.longmont.co.us and do an “Activity Word Search” for “Turkey”
• Online through Active.com
• Stop in at any City of Longmont Recreation Facility (view recreation facility addresses),
  • Download entry form or pick up an entry form, and register in person.  

Remember!  Early registration ENDs at 12noon on Thursday, November 9!

Ohh no, you’re reading this after November 9th?  No worries, swing by the Longmont Recreation Center between 4pm & 6pm on Friday, November 10th to register in person (there is a $5 late fee).  You can also register before the race on Saturday, November 11th at Altona Middle School from 7am-8:30am, BUT you must be in line by 8:15am.

Don’t want to race, but still want to be a part of this event?  We need volunteers to help out on the race course Saturday morning, from 8am-11am.  We also need a couple more folks to help with shirt & bib pick up on Friday from 3:45pm-6:15pm, and Saturday morning from 6:45am-9am.  Please email Sara Taylor if you are interested in helping out!
