Making Introductions

I may have the world’s worst memory for names and faces. Claymation Style Business Figure Waving Hello

It’s a weird blind spot. Ask me about long-ago presidential campaigns, details of the Star Wars universe, or odd bits of sports trivia and I’ll be right on point. But if I cross paths with someone I don’t see literally every day, my brain produces the “Familiar Person!” alert, followed by “Scanning … scanning … now loading 57 updates, please do not restart …”

And if they’ve changed their look? At that point, I’m going to need all the help I can get.

Which brings me to NextLight.

No, Longmont’s finest internet didn’t get a haircut. And hopefully, you’re all familiar with the new NextLight logo by now. But when you get emails from us – particularly your bill – you’ll be seeing some new addresses. And since we’ve reminded folks more than once to be careful of scams, I want to reassure you that the following email addresses are indeed legit.

Bills will now be coming to you from billing@mynextlight.com (which reflects our new website address). Other messages will typically be arriving from customerservice@mynextlight.com. As always, if you’re not sure whether an email came from us, please feel free to call our NextLight customer service team at 303-774-4494 – we’re always glad to help.

And speaking of our customer service team members, they have a new set of business hours.  Walk-ins to the Longmont Service Center (1100 S. Sherman St.) can get in-person assistance from the NextLight team from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. For telephone assistance, just call in from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. (We also have the hours on our NextLight website, if you need a refresher.)

So yes, we have some new features. But it’s still the same NextLight.

And you can take that at face value.
