In order to recognize and promote Longmont’s entrepreneurs and startup communities, Mayor Dennis Coombs is proclaiming February 20-27 as Entrepreneurship Appreciation Week in Longmont. This date corresponds with National Entrepreneurship Week. 

In recognition of the week, the Longmont Economic Development Partnership and the City of Longmont will be jointly sponsoring Startup Conversations on February 22 at 5 p.m. at 300 Suns Brewing, 335 1st Avenue. The event will feature recognition of organizations and individuals working to support entrepreneurs. Free refreshments will be provided.

“Entrepreneurs and the startup businesses they create are a critical components of Longmont’s economic success,” said Mayor Coombs. “Startups and small businesses represent 66% of business growth in the United States since 1970, and in Longmont,”
