Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) has a minor train derailment at 1st Avenue and Emery Street in Longmont. The train will not move from its current location until a crew can be dispatched to repair it. Longmont Public Safety does not have an estimated time for completing the repair, however BNSF anticipates that the repair will likely occur after 8 am on Friday, April 12. Alternate routes are recommended, as delays and detours are expected in this area.

The train is blocking several intersections, including:

• 1st Avenue and Main Street

• 1st Avenue and Coffman Street

• 1st Avenue and Emery Street
