New Year’s Holiday Schedules

Longmont city government observes New Year’s Day on Thursday, January 1, as a holiday. Here is a short list of affected city services:

City Holiday Schedules
On Wednesday, December 31, the Library will close at 5 pm. Longmont city government observes New Year’s Day on Thursday, January 1, as a holiday. The following facilities will be CLOSED: Civic Center, Service Center, Senior CenterLibraryMuseumYouth Center, Development Services Center, Waste Diversion CenterRecreation CenterSt. Vrain Memorial BuildingCentennial Pool, and Ice Pavilion. Even though the Recreation Center will be closed for regular use, there will be a special Zumba class at 1 pm. Thursday trash and recycling will be collected on Friday. 

Holiday Recycling
After the presents are opened, do you have a lot of ripped wrapping paper headed for the trash? See a short video on how to recycle some of that holiday waste at the Longmont Waste Diversion Center.

Recycle Your Christmas Tree
Through January 11 the City of Longmont provides four Christmas tree drop-off locations: Roosevelt Park – parking lot south of 8th Avenue, Garden Acres Park – west side of parking lot off 18th Avenue, Kanemoto Park – parking lot off S. Pratt Parkway, Centennial Park – east parking lot off Alpine Street. Please remove all decorations and lights from trees. You also can recycle your tree at the Waste Diversion Center, 140 Martin Street, between 7:30 am and 4:45 pm, Monday through Saturday.
