NextLight debuts new website
NextLight, Longmont’s community-owned fiber-optic internet service, has launched a new website, aimed at creating an improved, dynamic experience for customers and visitors.
Redesigned to offer an effortless, accessible, and branded experience, the new site offers visitors the option of complete English or Spanish-language versions, all available at the existing mynextlight.com web address. To better serve the Longmont community, the upgraded website experience creates a hub for current customers to learn more about their service, access support, and pay their bill. Prospective customers will find in-depth information on all that NextLight has to offer, along with an easy sign-up process.
“We’re all spending more time online these days, and our NextLight customers are no exception,” said Valerie Dodd, NextLight’s executive director. “They visit our site to sign up for service, to pay their bill, to find out more about who we are and what we offer, so we want to ensure the best possible experience. NextLight was built for our community and it was important that our website was, too.”
When NextLight was first launched by Longmont Power & Communications in 2014, its online presence debuted as part of the LPC section of the City of Longmont’s website. Since then, NextLight has made a number of updates to both its presentation and its services. That includes introducing the “MyNextLight” web address and a new logo, accelerating its most basic residential service from 25 megabits per second (Mbps) to 100 Mbps, offering symmetrical upload and download speeds to all business customers, introducing discounts for income-qualified household and customers impacted by COVID-19, and expanding eligibility for Sharing the NextLight, which offers a free 100 Mbps home internet connection to qualifying Longmont students.
The new website itself is an example of NextLight’s dedication to the community it serves, created in partnership with Longmont-based agency, Catapult Creative Co.
“Our community has embraced NextLight since the beginning, and we continually look for new ways to serve them and make their experience better than ever,” Dodd said. “This new site is part of that same commitment – our ongoing dedication to put Longmont’s needs at the center of our service.”
