NextLight dominates PC Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards

Customers name Longmont internet service as nation’s best ISP

At this year’s PC Magazine Readers’ Choice Awards, there was NextLight, and then there was everyone else. Longmont’s community-owned internet won the award for Best Overall ISP in the nation – and much more – as supporters showed their NextLight love.

NextLight’s No. 1 satisfaction rating pushed it past Google’s GFiber, SpaceX’s Starlink and other major U.S. internet providers. The Longmont fiber internet service also won Best Municipal ISP, Most Highly Recommended ISP and Best Value (based on price satisfaction). In addition, the magazine’s related Business Choice Awards recognized NextLight as the Best Overall ISP for Home Offices.

PC Magazine bases the awards on reader surveys, asking ISP customers to rate their provider in areas such as speed, reliability and value. The editors then evaluate the scores before deciding the awards.

“I’ll keep saying it over and over – it all comes back to our outstanding customers,” said Valerie Dodd, NextLight’s executive director. “We got our start because Longmont wanted better internet. We built NextLight to meet their needs. And it’s their love for the fast, reliable and locally based service they get that has made Longmont a true internet success story.”

This is the second time that the Readers’ Choice Awards have recognized NextLight as the best overall ISP and the third time that it’s been named the best municipal service.

New customers who sign up for NextLight by June 30 will also get free in-home WiFi service for six months. The offer is also open to existing NextLight customers who haven’t previously added WiFi to their service.  Find out more at https://mynextlight.com/offers/.
