Community-owned network continues to grow, excel  

LONGMONT, CO – More than 28,000 Longmont’s homes and businesses now get their internet service from NextLight, the city’s community-owned internet provider.

NextLight has seen continued growth since connecting its first customer in November 2014 and has become the internet service of choice for roughly two-thirds of Longmont. In that time, the high-speed fiber-optic service has frequently been locally praised and nationally acclaimed for its speed, quality and customer service.

“Our community knows that broadband internet isn’t an option today – it’s a necessity,” said Valerie Dodd, NextLight’s executive director. “Our residents use it every day to work, to learn, to communicate and even to relax. That’s why they insist on the best connection they can get and NextLight is uniquely positioned to give it to them, with a local, reliable and 100% fiber service. Their support has built our success and their use of NextLight has helped build our community.”

As it’s grown, NextLight has been repeatedly recognized as one of the fastest internet providers in the nation.
