Customers also name Longmont service as best work-from-home provider

LONGMONT, CO – Longmont’s NextLight remains one of the best-loved internet service providers in the country, with the community-owned ISP winning the PC Magazine Readers’ Choice and Business Choice awards as the nation’s best municipal provider and the best internet service for home offices.

 

“Going local makes for happy customers,” PC Mag said it in its writeup. “Nowhere is this more evident in our survey than with NextLight.”

 

PC Magazine bases the awards on reader surveys, asking ISP customers to rate their provider in a number of areas such as speed, reliability and value. The editors then evaluate the scores before deciding the awards.

 

“This means so much because it comes from our customers,” said Valerie Dodd, NextLight’s executive director. “Their excitement has powered us from the start. The awards also recognized NextLight as the best fiber-based internet for home offices and ranked the network as no. 2 in the nation for overall customer satisfaction, just a tenth of a point behind Google’s GFiber.

 

This is the second time NextLight has been recognized by the Readers’ Choice and Business Choice Awards. In 2023, the network was named the top home and business ISP, with record-setting scores that also earned NextLight an honorable mention in PC Magazine’s 2024 list of Best Tech Brands.
