Open Public Meeting on Services for Homeless Persons in Longmont

Please join the Longmont Housing Opportunity Team on Monday, March 19th from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Longmont Senior Center (910 Longs Peak Ave) for a community round table discussion of services for homeless persons in Longmont. Individuals, businesses, faith groups, community organizations, non-profits, and government collaborators are all invited to listen and engage in a structured dialogue. Together, participants will explore topics and resources relative to people experiencing homelessness and consider how we might meet the needs of these vulnerable community members.

Michele Waite, director of Senior Services and long time LHOT member will help facilitate this dialogue. “We are continuing to learn as the new system has been implemented. We want to strengthen what we can and identify the gaps to which we need to respond. ” This format provides an opportunity to explore several facets of this complex issue in an intentional manner that fosters learning, dialogue, and growth.

If you are among those already engaged in providing assistance, or if you’d like to get involved, please bring your voice to the table. Let’s talk about our collective community response, how we each make a real and lasting difference, and how we can collaborate in meaningful ways to make the most of our shared resources.
