Overnight Traffic Shift Scheduled on CO 119 on August 9-10 - City of Longmont Skip to main content

Overnight work is scheduled Sunday and Monday, August 9 and 10, from 6 pm to 7 am, on Colorado Highway 119 between County Road 5 and County Road 7. This work will shift traffic to the second phase of construction for the St. Vrain Greenway Phase 13 pedestrian underpass.

On Sunday night, crews will stripe the roadway, shift westbound lanes and install concrete barriers. On Monday night, crews will shift eastbound lanes.

The Phase 2 traffic pattern will be in place by 7 am on Tuesday, August. 11. Beginning that morning, westbound traffic will move toward the right shoulder, while eastbound traffic will use temporary lanes in the center of the roadway. Concrete barriers will separate opposing traffic, and two lanes will remain open in each direction. This traffic pattern will remain in place until construction of the underpass is complete this winter.

Drivers should follow posted signs and use caution when traveling through the work zone. The speed limit will remain 45 mph.
