Overnight work scheduled Oct. 18-19 for Phase 3 traffic shift on CO 119
Overnight work is scheduled Sunday, Oct. 18, and Monday, Oct. 19, from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Colorado Highway 119 between County Road 5 and County Road 7 as crews shift traffic to the third phase of construction for the St. Vrain Greenway Phase 13 project.
During Phase 3, crews will install guardrails and pedestrian railings and complete work on the underpass, embankment and the sidewalk that will connect at County Road 5½.
As part of the overnight work, motorists can expect temporary lane closures and traffic shifts on CO 119 as crews move traffic out of the head-to-head configuration and return the roadway to normal configuration.
The acceleration lane near CR 5½ will remain closed during Phase 3 and shoulder closures will remain in place on CO 119. Motorists should be aware of construction trucks and equipment entering and exiting the shoulder closure from the westbound CO 119 lanes.
Drivers should follow posted signs and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
The City of Longmont appreciates your patience as crews complete improvements that will enhance safety and connectivity along the St. Vrain Greenway.
