SCAM ALERT – Longmont businesses are receiving calls from someone claiming to be from “City of Longmont utility billing” and asking for money to pay their utility bill. This is a scam. The scammer asked the business to pay their delinquent bills over the phone by using a pre-paid card or face their utilities being shut off immediately. Do not provide the caller any payment information. If you do receive this call, please call 303-651-8501 and file a police report.
