Longmont Police are looking for the help of the public in locating witnesses and/or a silver sedan involved in a hit and run accident last night. LPD Report #16-2426

At approximately 10:50 last night 3/17/16, two foreign exchange students (male 20, female 18) from Vietnam were walking westbound on 17th Avenue in close proximity to the FAA Center. (The accident was east of Spencer St.)

Students were trying to hitch hike and occasionally stepped out into the slushy road.

A silver sedan (no other information at this time), unknown year, struck both parties. The male, was thrown 20 to 30 feet in front of the car and was likely ran over a second time after being thrown. The female was hit, but sustained only minor injuries. Both parties were transported to LUH. The male had serious injuries, including a head injury. He is expected to survive.

The silver sedan did not slow down or stop. It continued westbound toward Hover, unknown direction from there. The silver sedan would likely have front end damage and windshield damage.
