The Longmont Police Services Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal injury crash of a car versus a bicycle on eastbound Clover Basin Dr between Renaissance Dr and Delsarto Ln. The accident occurred at approximately 8:00am on Saturday, September 18. The car and bicyclist were both traveling eastbound on Clover Basin Drive when the crash occurred.

The bicyclist, age 78, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and later succumbed to the injuries. The driver of the car, age 25, remained on-scene after the crash. Both reside in Longmont.

Any witnesses or individuals with video footage of this incident are asked to contact traffic investigator Greg Noyes at (303) 774-4458.  Any additional information about the cyclist will not be available until the Boulder County Coroner’s Office completes their investigation and family notifications are made.
