Pre-Requisite: Ability to swim all 4 competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breast-stroke, and butterfly) proficiently at least 15 yards by last class day and must submit job application by last day of class.

Become certified to teach swim lessons for the City of Longmont!  You’ll be trained to teach the City of Longmont’s pre-school swim lessons (youth 3-5 years) and BLAST- Accelerated Swim Lesson Program (youth 5-12 years).

Class Dates & Times:
December 12-15, Mon-Thurs, 4pm-7pm at Centennial Pool, 1201 Alpine St, Longmont     

Lifeguard Training – ages 15 & up

Pre-Requisite:  Must swim 500 yards without stopping (not timed); half Front Crawl and half Breaststroke.

Learn the basics of American Red Cross lifeguard skills and practices.  First Aid and CPR/AED for the professional rescuer are included. Plan on using your Lifeguard Certification to work for the City of Longmont?  When enrolling, ask for the “pending employee’ rate.  Save $70, and become one step closer to a new job!
