Three-Day Eastbound Lane Closure on Aug. 25 – 27

The eastbound lanes of 17th Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Main Street to Lashley Street on August 25 – 27. This is necessary to complete safety improvements at the 17th Avenue railroad crossing for future designation as a Quiet Zone.

Monday, August 25 – Wednesday, August 27:

  • Commuters traveling eastbound on 17th Avenue will need to detour at Main Street to Mountain View Avenue. Local access will be open to Centennial Drive.
  • Residents east of the railroad tracks on the north and south sides of 17th Avenue can access properties from westbound 17th Avenue. Eastbound access will be from Mountain View Street to Lashley Street and then westbound on 17th Avenue.
  • Residents west of the railroad tracks on the north and south sides of 17th Avenue will have local access from westbound and eastbound 17th Avenue.
  • At least one westbound lane on 17th Avenue will be open at all times.

Regular construction hours are Monday – Friday from 7 am – 5 pm. Some work may occur until 7 pm depending on weather and other factors. Detour signs will direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to alternate routes.
