Longmont Police are advising that the roads are icy under the heavy snow. Visibility is limited. (Wednesday 2/12/20)

Longmont is on accident alert. This means that the weather conditions are so severe that the number of accidents outnumber the capacity of officers to respond. While we are on accident alert, officers will only respond if the following circumstances exist: 

• Vehicles are disabled due to damage.
• Accident involves a fatality or an injury requiring medical attention.
• Alcohol or drugs are involved.
• Accident is an alleged hit and run.
• There is damage to public property

All motorists involved in an accident within the city limits are asked to call the Longmont Emergency Communications Center at (303)651-8501. 

If Longmont is on accident alert dispatch will advise you to complete the state forms regarding your accident. Links to those forms can be found by going to LongmontColorado.gov and searching “Reporting to Police Online”.
