Senior Center Expands Hours / Centro para personas mayores amplía su horario

Effective Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the Longmont Senior Center will extend its hours on most weekday evenings and will open on Saturday mornings. The new schedule is:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8 am–8 pm
  • Friday: 8 am–5 pm
  • Saturday: 8 am–12 pm
  • Sunday: closed

“In expanding our hours, our goal is to make Senior Center programming more accessible to more people, including working seniors and others who’ve previously been unable to join us,” said Senior Services Manager Ronnie Maynes. “In addition to accommodating more schedules, we are also offering more sections of popular classes that frequently fill up quickly.”

The Senior Center offers a wide range of programs and events for a diverse audience. They offer programming in health and wellness, exercise and fitness, sports and the outdoors, trips and travel, volunteer opportunities, and much more. In addition to scheduled classes, there are drop-in activities, clubs, and everything from concerts cultural enrichment programs to dispensary tours and snowshoeing.

Seniors 55 and up can explore program offerings in the GO catalog and register online at longmontcolorado.gov/go. They’re also welcome to register in person at 910 Longs peak Avenue, or by phone at 303-651-8411. Registration for fall classes, programs, and special events is now open.

Evening appointments with resource specialists and counseling staff will also be available; please call or email Brandy Queen at 303-651-8414 or email brandy.queen@longmontcolorado.gov to request an evening appointment.
