POSTPONED: Single-Lane Closures on 17th Avenue at the Railroad Crossing

Postponed Until Further Notice

For approximately two weeks starting Tuesday, October 14, one lane of traffic will be closed in each direction on 17th Avenue across the railroad tracks between Shavano Street and Centennial Drive. The two middle lanes will be closed to complete work on the medians required by the Federal Railroad Administration for the Quiet Zones project.

Left turns will be prohibited from Lamplighter Street and Meadow Street onto 17th Avenue during the closure. Local traffic from those streets will need to turn right or use alternate routes to 15th Avenue or 19th Avenue.

Regular construction hours are Monday – Friday from 7 am – 5 pm. Some work may occur until 7 pm and also on Saturdays and Sundays, as necessary. Detour signs will direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to alternate routes, as needed. Check the project group 1 webpage for the latest information.

Questions or concerns regarding the project should be directed to the project hotline by calling 720-526-2044 or emailing QuietZones@longmontcolorado.gov.
