A community-owned network should be there for its community.
That’s why NextLight customers will soon be able to claim a new income-based discount on home internet service. This $25/month discount will start in May, the same month that Congress is expected to end the broadband discount it provided through the Affordable Connectivity Program.
If this sounds familiar, it’s no surprise. At the start of the pandemic in 2020, NextLight offered the same $25 discount to customers in need. When the federal government began to provide a $50/month discount in its place in 2021, we were grateful … and when it got pared down to $30/month a year later, we put up another $20 of our own to help our customers out.
Now the outside help may be going away – but the needs of our customers are still here. So we are, too.
How do you apply for the discount? Simply go online to our Internet Assistance Program page now and fill out the short form there, which will also ask you to upload your ID and some documentation that you’re in a qualifying program such as a school lunch program or Medicaid. (The full list of qualifying programs is on the website.) If you need some help, give our customer service team a call at 303-774-4494 and they’ll be glad to get you going.
After all, NextLight is for you. And that’s a connection we’re always proud to honor.
