Sunset Pool, 1900 Longs Peak Avenue, is closed for the season.

The bath house at Sunset Pool was built as a summer-only facility and freezing temperatures are forecast in Longmont this week. Select lap and leisure pool activities will move indoors to the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road. A current aquatic activity schedule is located on the Recreation Center’s facility webpage.

Sunset Pool was originally scheduled to close September 3, but because of Centennial Pool’s unexpected closure, the Recreation Division kept the outdoor pool open in order to accommodate customer needs. Centennial Pool is closed until further notice due to a faulty sump pump which caused considerable damage to the mechanical room. Insurance is still evaluating the extensive damage to the electrical equipment.
