The City of Longmont participates in the Go-Tober Commuter Challenge

The City of Longmont will be joining other local businesses, municipalities and communities by participating in the Go-Tober Commuter Challenge, encouraging City employees to try a different method for getting to work other than driving alone. Employees will be challenged to try different modes of transportation, such as walking, bicycling, carpooling, vanpooling or taking the bus. Participants earn points for taking advantage of these Smart Commute options and become eligible to win commuter prize packs! The program’s online dashboard displays challenge stats, such as CO2 emissions reduction, money saved and calories burned, highlighting the positive cumulative effects of Smart Commuting.

If you’re interested in participating and joining the quest to win the title of Go-Tober Champion, ask your employer to sign-up for the challenge by calling 303-458-7665 or emailing waytogo@drcog.org.

The Go-Tober Commuter Challenge is organized by Way to Go, a regional partnerships between the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) and a dedicated group of Transportation Management Associations working together to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and make life better for the region’s residents.
