Free Talk: A Total Eclipse of the Sun
The Citizen CATE 2024 mission united communities across the U.S. to capture more than 47,000 images of our sun’s atmosphere during a solar eclipse. LDDA LoCol Square Open House
On Saturday, April 25 from 11am-2pm, the LDDA invites the public to see the plans and vision for the new LoCol Square at the northeast corner of 6th Ave. and Main St. Later this year, the former gas station property will be transformed into a new, vibrant town square public space for the community to gather, attend events, and enjoy. The Open House features information and an overview of the design and plans for the space, as well as questions for community members to answer about what they would like to see and do in LoCol Square. Spring Al Fresco Market & Downtown Sidewalk Sales
On Saturday, April 25 from 11am-5pm, enjoy shopping “al fresco” with downtown businesses hosting sidewalk sales throughout the district, as well as a pop-up maker market on 5th Avenue. Featuring 25 local pop-up artists and makers on 5th Avenue between Main St. and Kimbark St., and encourages community members and visitors to head Downtown, shop, and stroll to enjoy all that downtown businesses and local creatives have to offer.
