Holiday Schedules for City Facilities
Most City facilities will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31. Some Recreation facilities will be open Friday, but closed Saturday. The Longmont Museum will close at 1 p.m. on Friday and will be open on Saturday. The Longmont Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday. Longmont Recreation Job Fair
Join us in the lobby of the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road, from 4-7 pm on Monday, Jan. 3, or from noon-3 pm on Sunday, Jan. 9, and have a job interview on the spot — even for summer positions! Recycle Your Holidays
The City offers several opportunities from now through Sunday, Jan. 9, for residents to recycle holiday materials. Christmas trees can be dropped off at designated areas within Roosevelt, Garden Acres, Kanemoto and Centennial parks, and at the Waste Diversion Center. Please remove all decorations and lights. Special bins will be set up at the Waste Diversion Center, 140 Martin St., for wrapping paper, holiday lights and white block foam recycling. Wintertime BINGO at the Library
Don’t let the cold and the dark of winter get you down; spend your indoor time playing Wintertime Bingo with the Longmont Public Library! The Library will have two opportunities for patrons to play. Kids and teens will have the chance to pick up their BINGO cards from the Children’s and Teens’ Services Desk on the main floor of the Library and must be turned in by Sunday, Jan. 9. For adults, the Wintertime BINGO session will start on Monday, Jan. 3, by picking up your card from the Information Desk on the 2nd floor and returning the card by Monday, Feb. 28. Nuggets Basketball Skills Challenge
Boys and girls ages 6-13 (as of April 30, 2022) can showcase their basketball talents in dribbling, passing and shooting at Longmont Recreation’s free Denver Nuggets Skills Challenge at 1 pm on Saturday, Jan. 8 at the Longmont Recreation Center, 310 Quail Road. Top scorers in each age group will advance to a sectional and possible state championship. Entry forms are available at the event one hour prior to the competition. A parent signature is required.
