Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday Information
Longmont City government observes the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday, Jan. 20. Most City facilities will be closed. See below for specific hours, etc. for City buildings. Emergency services, parks, outside recreation areas, etc. will be open.
Trash Collection Services
There will be no collection on Monday, Jan. 20. Trash will be collected the following day on Tuesday, Jan. 21, and all waste collection will occur one day later that week. Â If you have questions or your collection was missed, call 303-651-8416. Residents can see the collection schedule and sign up for collection reminders.
Holiday Hours for Specific City Facilities
The Civic Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.

The Development Services Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
This includes all Planning, Building Services, Code Enforcement, PWNR Engineering and Parking Enforcement services.
The Longmont Museum will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. Plan Your Future Visit
The Library will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The Longmont Recycling Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The Longmont Service Center at 1100 S. Sherman St. will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
- For outages and other urgent electric matters, call Longmont Power & Communications at 303-651-8386. The lines are monitored 24 hours a day so that LPC crews can respond as quickly as possible.
- NextLight technical support can be reached from 8 am to 5 pm by calling 303-774-4494. As always, the network team will keep an eye on after-hours phone messages and network conditions, so that urgent situations can be addressed.
Emails and Facebook messages will not be seen until the offices re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Public Safety Administration offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
Emergency services and Records will be available.

Ice Pavilion
- Open extended open skate hours on Jan. 20, 10am-4pm (weather pending)
Centennial Pool
- Open Jan. 20, 6am-2pm
Recreation Center
- Open regular hours on Jan. 20.
Activity Pools are closed for the season.
Sunset Pool closed for the season.
Union Reservoir Access to water is closed, Reservoir grounds will be open Jan. 20
The Senior Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The airport will remain open; however, the Administration building will be closed Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
The Longmont Youth Center will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
