July 3 and 4 Information
Longmont City government will observe Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026. Most City facilities will be closed. See below for specific hours, etc. for City buildings. Emergency services, parks, outside recreation areas, etc. will be open.
Holiday Hours for Specific City Facilities
The Civic Center will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026.
Services and divisions within the Civic Center will also be closed, including:

The Civic Center will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026.
This includes all Planning, Building Services, Code Enforcement, PWNR Engineering and Parking Enforcement services.
The Longmont Museum is closed July 3 and July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
The Longmont Library will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026.
The Longmont Recycling Center will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The Longmont Service Center at 1100 S. Sherman St. will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026.
- For outages and other urgent electric matters, call Longmont Power & Communications at 303-651-8386. The lines are monitored 24 hours a day so that LPC crews can respond as quickly as possible.
- NextLight technical support can be reached from 8 am to 5 pm by calling 303-774-4494. As always, the network team will keep an eye on after-hours phone messages and network conditions, so that urgent situations can be addressed.
Emails and Facebook messages will not be seen until the offices re-open on Monday, June 22.
Public Safety Administration offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026.
Emergency services and Records will be available.

Union Reservoir –
- Swim beach closed due to low water levels but wading area and boating is open
- Holiday entry fees apply July 3-5

- Gates expected to close at noon on July 4 or when park reaches capacity

The Senior Center will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026.
The airport will remain open; however, the Administration building will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The Longmont Youth Center will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026.
