Free Landfill Drop Day This Saturday
The City of Longmont gives residents an opportunity to take one level pickup load free of charge to the Front Range Landfill at 1830 Weld County Rd 5 in Erie from 7 am to 2 pm on Saturday, February 3. Loads must be covered and secured for transport; oversize loads and second loads will be billed accordingly. Take a photo ID and a copy of your current utility bill to show that you are a City of Longmont customer. RTD Proposing to Discontinue RockiesRide Bus Service to Coors Field
RTD has scheduled two public meetings to discuss ending RockiesRide bus service to Coors Field due to low ridership. RockiesRide operates on Opening Day, fireworks and weekend games. The public meetings are designed to inform the public and to obtain input on the proposed changes. The meetings will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 from noon and 6 p.m. at RTD Administrative Offices, 1660 Blake Street, Rooms T & D. Ward I Special Election Ballots in the Mail
Ballots for the special election to fill the vacant Ward I city council seat will be mailed the week of February 5 and must be returned no later than 7 pm on Tuesday, February 27. Erasing the Stigma of Mental Illness
From 7 to 9 pm on Monday, February 5, hear Dr. Patrick Corrigan, Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology, speak at Longmont United Hospital, 1950 Mountain View Avenue. You’ll develop a better understanding of mental health stigma and learn about the benefits and consequences of stigma change programs. Final Session of Ice Skating Lessons

“Authors We Love” Open House
The Longmont Library at 409 4th Avenue is offering fans an opportunity to meet dozens of Colorado authors at the “Authors We Love Open House” from 1 to 3:30 pm on Saturday, February 10. Readers can meet writers, ask questions, and buy books from published authors of fiction, nonfiction, adult, children’s, and young adult books. No registration is required, and all ages are welcome.

Sales and Use Tax Seminar
Do you have questions about the business sales and use tax in Longmont? A free seminar that will answer all your questions will be held from 10 am to noon on Wednesday, February 14, at the Civic Center, 350 Kimbark Street. Water Rebate for Low-income Households
The City of Longmont provides a partial rebate of the previous year’s water charges for residents who qualify for LEAP and pay the City directly for their water bill. Don’t know if you qualify for LEAP? The Low Income Energy Assistance Program is a federal program administered by Boulder County that helps low‐income households with their heating costs.
