Learn to Discern Media @ The Library

Save your seat! Join us Thursday, Jan. 9 from 6-7 pm to learn how to evaluate the truthfulness of news, social media, the internet, and input from friends and family. This free Library program will focus on using internet resources and free Library materials to evaluate information and help you gain more confidence navigating the ever-changing media landscape. Last Chance to See the LEGO exhibit!

It’s your last chance to catch the Longmont Museum’s hands-on LEGO exhibit before it’s gone! In “Build: Design & Create with LEGO!,” you’ll build and race a LEGO car, tackle an architectural challenge, save the world with a wondrous invention, or explore and play as far as your imagination takes you. Itty Bitty City: Friday Indoor Fun

Toddlers and preschoolers can play in the gym on Fridays from 9-11 am beginning January 10 at the St. Vrain Memorial Building, 700 Longs Peak Avenue.  Parents must supervise their children. Cost is $4 per child or purchase a discounted pass online at https://rec.ci.longmont.co.us/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/splash.html. For ages 6 months to 5 years; no registration required.  Questions? Time to Compost

As of January 1, 2025 food wholesalers, distributers, manufacturers, and grocery stores are required to have a compost collection service for all food waste. Coupons and other resources are available on a first come, first serve basis to help pay the bill for new collection service. RIDE Longmont in January

RIDE Longmont offers cheap and reliable rides to just about anywhere in Longmont. Every ride is just $2 to anywhere in Longmont. The service is super easy to use and is available to everyone, although people younger than 13 years must be accompanied by an adult. Individuals can request a ride through the app (found in most app stores) or by calling 970-538-9097 (which can accommodate most language preferences).
