Coffee with Council: July 29

Longmont City Council will host an in-person Coffee with Council from 9-10 am on Saturday, July 29, at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Middle School Night at Sunset Pool

Geared for all middle schoolers and soon-to-be freshmen! Enjoy a fun evening at Sunset Pool, 1900 Longs Peak Ave., from 7:30-9:30 pm on Thursday, July 27. Preregister by calling 303-774-4700 so you don’t have to wait in line. Everyone who is preregistered ($5.50) can enter at 7:15 pm and be in the water at 7:30 pm! A drop-in payment option is available at the window, and guests must show proof of age or a current student ID. Recreation passes or previous daily admission receipts are not valid. Questions? Kids’ film and free outdoor concert at Museum

Join us for this summer’s final week of kid’s movies and free outdoor concerts. At 10 am on Tuesday, July 25 “Encanto” (Disney, 2021, PG) will light up the Stewart Auditorium’s big screen at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. Admission is $3/child. Then on Thursday, July 27, Gingerbomb will bring their unique rock, country and folk blend to a free show in the Museum’s outdoor grassy courtyard from 7-8:30 pm. Outdoor Concert: All-Star Jazz Band

From 6-7 pm on Sunday, July 30, join other music-lovers for a free night of great jazz on the Library’s West Patio! The Longmont All-Star Jazz Band is made up of some of the local high schools’ best players. Registration is NOT required, and there will be limited seating provided by the Library on the patio. Celebrate Nepali culture and heritage

The upcoming Nepali Jatra, a vibrant celebration of Nepali culture and heritage will be held from 1-5 pm on Sunday, July 30, at the Longmont Museum, 400 Quail Road. We invite the community to join in supporting and experiencing this remarkable cultural extravaganza. The event will feature an array of activities including an art exhibition and display, music performances and traditional costumes on display. Tech Class: Intro to PC Computing

Learn the Windows Operating System, keyboard shortcuts, folder basics, internet basics and more from 4:30-6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 25 at the Longmont Library, 409 4th Ave.! This free course is open to beginner to intermediate technology users; no registration required — just meet us in the Computer Lab on the second floor. Magic Wand Workshop at Library

Join us to create and use your own magic wand and imagination games to help with bedtime (or any!) transition from 2-3 pm on Saturday, Aug. 5 at the Longmont Library. This free event is best for children ages 3-7 years old with their parent/caregiver. Susanne Benton, a preschool teacher and certified massage therapist, offers creative techniques and stories to help parents connect with their kids and relax into successful bedtimes. National Night Out: Aug. 1

Longmont will celebrate National Night Out (NNO) from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. National Night Out is an annual community-building event that promotes public safety, community partnerships, and camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring by hosting block parties, cookouts, lemonade and cookies, and other activities with emergency personnel.
