Events & Happenings

Parade route changes due to construction

Due to ongoing construction in our downtown area, starting with the Boulder County Fair Parade on Aug. 3, the traditional parade route will be temporarily altered. All parades will still start and be staged around Roosevelt Park. The parade will cross at Longs Peak Avenue and Coffman Street to Main Street, turn right and travel down Main Street, turn left at 4th Avenue and come back up Kimbark Street to Longs Peak Avenue, returning to Roosevelt Park crossing Longs Peak and Coffman. Please note that Main Street will still be closed at 3rd Avenue for all parades to better control traffic and provide for participant safety. The Coffman Street construction project, scheduled to last through 2026, necessitates these changes. We appreciate your patience and understanding as the City works to transform downtown. Visit the Transformation webpage for more details.
