Cigarette Butts are Litter, Too!
Did you know that a cigarette butt is litter when it ends up on the ground? Butts are harmful to our waterways, costly to clean up, and unsightly. The Longmont Downtown Development Authority received a Cigarette Litter Prevention grant from Keep America Beautiful to install more cigarette receptacles on the sides of trash cans in the Downtown area. If you smoke, please use a receptacle. Free pocket and portable vehicle ashtrays are available; call 303-651-8586. For more information, visit DowntownLongmont.com/ciglitter.
