Activity Pools Open for Season
Geared toward children ages 10 and younger and their guardians, Longmont’s two activity pools offer zero depth entry and fun amenities including water slides, bucket dumps and fun places to splash and play. Kanemoto Pool, 1151 S Pratt Parkway, is now open. Roosevelt Pool, 903 8th Avenue, opens Friday, June 6. For daily hours, visit longmontcolorado.gov/pools or call 303-774-4800.

 

Longmont Water Fair

The Longmont Water Fair is back! Join us for the second annual Longmont Water Fair June 8, 9:15 am-12:30 pm at the Dickens Farm Nature Area. This free event combines science, art and education to celebrate our local water. Explore water’s journey from the mountains to your home through hands-on science activities, art projects, live performances and more. Bike to Work Day

Ditch the car, grab your bike and enjoy a fun, healthy and eco-friendly commute on Wed, June 25 for Bike to Work Day! Free Fitness in the Park

Enjoy a workout in the fresh air! Join Recreation instructors for a variety of free outdoor Tuesday, Friday and Saturday fitness classes at local Longmont parks. Food Waste? Compost it! 

The fourth phase of Longmont’s Universal Recycling Ordinance (URO) is now in effect as of June 1, requiring organics (composting) collection for select business types that produce food waste.
