Coffee with Council
Longmont City Council will host Coffee with Council from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, June 25, at Ute Creek Golf Course, 2000 Ute Creek Drive. At this event, you can talk informally with at least two council members on any topic of your choice, and the coffee’s on us! Council members Christensen and Finley are scheduled to attend. Celebrate Aviation at the Longmont Airport Expo
It’s General Aviation Appreciation Month in Colorado! Come out to Vance Brand Airport at 229 Airport Road for the family-friendly Airport Expo from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturday, June 25. See vintage, military and experimental aircraft; enjoy aerobatic performances and skydiving demonstrations; check out the drone demo; taste some great food, including a pancake breakfast from 7 to 9 am; and lots more. Longmont Solst-ish Kinetics Festival
Longmont Kinetics continues to offer family-fun event with food, music, bands, Kinetic and Solstice Swim races, and more! Join the Kinetics fun on Saturday, June 25, at Union Reservoir, 461 Weld County Road 26. Gates open at 10 am and ceremonies begin at 11 am. Festivities continue with the Sculpture Race at 1 pm, the Kids’ Recycled Raft Race at 4 pm and the Solstice Swim at 6 pm. Enjoy live music from 5 to 8 pm and stay until dusk for the Sculpture Burn. Bring the kids, bring a picnic, and enjoy free outdoor concerts in neighborhoods throughout Longmont this summer. Colorado’s “hottest salsa band,” Quemando, will entertain at 6:30 pm Tuesday, June 28, at Lanyon Park, 1900 Collyer Street. Please take a chair or blanket to sit on. Hip Hop Fun for Children and Families
Take a break with the kids and head to the Longmont Public Library from 10 to 10:45 am on Thursday, June 30, for some fun with Mr. Kneel’s Hip Hop Concert. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the fun on the Library’s west patio at 409 4th Avenue. This program is part of “Music & Magic on the West Patio,” and registration is not required.
Celebrate the Fourth with Music and Fireworks
Begin your holiday fun at noon on Monday, July 4, with a picnic and the annual free holiday concert by the Longmont Symphony Orchestra at Thompson Park, 4th Avenue and Bross Street. Then, at about 9:30 pm, enjoy the explosion of fireworks over Longmont. The best view is from within one mile of the Boulder County Fairgrounds. Handicap-accessible parking is available at the fairgrounds’ south Nelson Road entrance with permit. Special thanks to the Skyline Kiwanis Club, whose generous donation helps make this event possible.

Plan to be at Roger’s Grove on Hover Street at 7:30 pm on Friday, July 8, in your glow and party apparel to run, walk, or dance the 5K all the way to the GLOW after party! Early bird registration fees – before noon on July 6 – are $17 for adults and $15 for youth 14 and younger and seniors 60 and older. Race day fees increase $5 on a space-available basis.
