June Mayor’s Meetup — Housing
Longmont Mayor Joan Peck and Mayor Pro Tem Aren Rodriguez next Mayor’s Meetup — from 9-10 am on Saturday, June 4, at Fire Station #5 Community Room, 617 Barberry Drive — will focus on housing and the issues, challenges and work being done to provide housing for all. Learn About Upcoming Public Works Projects
The City of Longmont will host a public meeting on Monday, June 6 to share information about several upcoming construction projects happening in central Longmont. The meeting is open to the public and will run from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the Longmont Senior Center, 910 Longs Peak Avenue.

New Park Hours, Ordinances Now in Effect
New ordinances approved by the Longmont City Council are now in effect concerning neighborhood park hours, camping and shelter/facility reservations. Neighborhood parks, nature areas, greenways and dog parks are now open from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. Lighted park facilities (i.e., basketball and tennis courts, skate parks, shelters, restrooms, etc.) will remain open until 10 pm. Shelter and facility reservations are now required for any party size who plans to stay at a shelter for more than two hours. New Museum Exhibit Opens Saturday
The Longmont Museum’s newest family-friendly exhibit, “Tipi to Tiny House: Hands-on Homebuilding,” opens this Saturday, June 11! Stop by for the FREE opening reception from 11 am-2 pm Saturday featuring live bluegrass music, food carts, cash bar and a look at the new exhibit. Visitors will explore and build homes from Colorado’s past and present including a tipi, shepherd’s wagon, lob cabin, tiny house and even a pillow fort! Free Friday Fitness in the Park
Enjoy a workout in the fresh air! Join Recreation fitness instructors for free Friday outdoor fitness classes at various parks throughout Longmont. Downtown Concerts Every Friday in June
Downtown street concerts take place at 4th Avenue and Kimbark Street every Friday in June. Head downtown every Friday in June from 6-9 pm for free music, dancing, food trucks, local craft beverages, kids activities and family-friendly community fun. The June 10 concert will feature the St. Vrain Valley School District All High Schools Reunion, and local cover bands Unauthorized Absence and Crick Wooder. Summer Kids’ Film Series at Museum
From Disney classics to recent blockbusters, enjoy a Tuesday morning movie with popcorn with your little ones in the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium this summer! The series runs June 7-July 19 every Tuesday morning at 10 am. Admission is $3 for movie only; or $5 for movie, popcorn and a juice box. Admission also gets visitors $1 off the hands-on exhibit.
