It’s EPA Fix-A-Leak Week

A small leak can waste hundreds to thousands of gallons of water every year, but fixing it is easier than you think. Check out our “How to Read Your Water Meter” video and learn how to spot hidden leaks in your home. Once you know where leaks are, you can fix them and start saving water (and money) right away. Watch the video and learn more at Conserving Water online.

Employment with Recreation Services

Recreation Services is hiring for summer jobs. Discounted or no-fee training is offered for future City of Longmont swim instructors and lifeguards. They’re also hiring day camp leaders, sports officials & coaches, babysitters, bus drivers and more. Enjoy competitive wages and a free Recreation pass (just pay the taxes). View open positions at Recreation Jobs online or call 303-774-4700.

Exact Change for City Cash Payments

Because the U. S. Department of the Treasury has stopped producing pennies, the City can no longer provide exact change for cash transactions. When paying in cash, please bring the exact amount. Otherwise, your payment will be rounded up to the nearest nickel and any difference of $0.01–$0.04 will be credited to your account. Questions? Call 303-651-8416.

Protect Your Power Line Safely

Longmont electric customers enjoy some of the most reliable power in the country. To safely keep your service secure, have a professional trim tree branches away from power lines. Find a list of City-licensed tree contractors online. To turn the power off for tree work, call 303-651-8386.

You’re invited to attend a town hall to learn more about Front Range passenger rail in the northwest metro region. It happens at the Longmont Museum on Wednesday, April 8 at 6 pm. Attend to ask questions and help shape the future of passenger rail in the region. Registration is optional online.
