Permanent Repairs Begin on Sewer Lines Damaged
In the September 2013 flood, two large sewer lines that crossed the St. Vrain Creek were destroyed. Since then, temporary bypass lines have been in place to prevent interruption of sanitary sewer service to residents and businesses. On Monday, May 4, crews will be mobilizing to start construction on permanent repairs, which are expected to be complete later this summer. This marks another significant step forward in Longmont’s flood recovery efforts. During construction, the St. Vrain Greenway multi-use path will be closed between Main Street and Martin Street. Follow Longmont’s journey to recovery and protection at LongmontColorado.gov/flood-info.
