Summer Reading Starts Thursday!

Celebrate the start of Summer Reading on the Library’s West Patio with sister sister dad punk rock band RLY ORY (pronounced early’oree) on Thursday, May 21. Enjoy music from 6-6:30 pm and a quieter celebration from 6:30-7 pm. Bring friends, meet librarians, play lawn games and pick up everything you need for Summer Reading. Sunset Pool Opens for Season

Enjoy fun in the sun at Longmont’s outdoor pools this summer. Sunset Pool (1900 Longs Peak Avenue) opens Thursday, May 21 with pre-summer hours. A heated pool designed for the entire family, Sunset features six lap lanes, a large wading area, three diving boards and two fast and fun waterslides. Downtown Kickoff to Summer Concerts

Downtown Longmont will kick off the summer with a free street concert on Friday, May 29 from 5:30-9 pm at 4th and Kimbark featuring Jakarta and Face Vocal Band. This family-friendly event features local food, drinks, kids activities, artists, makers, and live music. Summer Kids’ Films Return

Starting Tuesday, June 2 at 10 am, cool off in the Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium with a great movie the whole family can enjoy. Longmont Responds to Drought

In response to a dry winter and low snowpack, the City will reduce water consumption by 10% at City-owned greenways, parks, golf courses and other facilities. Residents are encouraged, not required, to do the same. Practice water efficiency at home by watering at night, turning off the tap while brushing your teeth and checking for leaks.
