Stay Safe During Spring Runoff Season
As snow melts in the mountains, water levels in local creeks and ditches rise—this is
known as runoff season. This year, runoff is expected to begin later and last longer
than usual. Please be extra cautious around ditches and the St. Vrain Creek. Water
can be fast-moving, cold, and unpredictable, and may carry debris. Stay alert and

Coffee with a Cop
Please save the date Saturday, May 31, and join us for Coffee with a Cop. Building
relationships—one cup at a time. Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and
community members together–over Coffee–to discuss issues and learn more
about each other. Saturday, May 31, 10 am to 12 pm, Target (north store
entrance), 551 S Hover Street, Longmont. There is no cost to participate in this

Input Requested for Dog Park Renovations
Plans are underway to renovate Longmont’s Dog Park #1, located at 21st Avenue
and Francis Street. Public feedback on the project is requested. Learn more and

Final days of Picasso at Longmont Museum
Explore the genius of Pablo Picasso in an exhibition featuring more than 60
original works from 1923 to 1972. “A Graphic Journey: Prints by Pablo Picasso”
takes visitors on a fascinating tour through Picasso’s printmaking. The exhibition

Sunset Pool Opening Delayed
Sunset Pool (1900 Longs Peak Ave.) will not open until after Memorial Day
weekend due to unexpected mechanical issues. A new opening date will be
announced as soon as it is confirmed. Centennial Pool (indoor pool at 1201
Alpine St.) will now be open over Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May
24, 8 am-2 pm and Sunday, May 25, 9 am-2 pm. Find updates and other pool

Make Traveling through Longmont Safer
Do you want to help create safer streets for everyone in our community? We’re
looking for volunteers to join Longmont’s Vision Zero Task Force on June 5 from
6 to 7:30 pm at the Senior Center, rooms D&E, 910 Longs Peak Ave. Work with
City staff to help create a plan to stop deadly and serious crashes in Longmont!
Vision Zero is a strategy to protect people by building a transportation system
that expects mistakes, reduces crash risks, and shares safety responsibility across

The Longmont Library’s Summer Reading Launch Party scheduled for Thursday,
May 22 at Sunset Pool has been canceled. Readers of all ages are encouraged to
