Most City Facilities Closed Monday
Longmont city government observes the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27. Most City facilities will be CLOSED. The Longmont Recreation Center will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunset Pool will be open from 10 am to 5 pm. The Longmont Public Library and Centennial Pool will be closed May 25-27. Trash, recycling and composting will be collected one day later than normal during the week.

Youth Golf Lessons at Twin Peaks and Ute Creek
Golf is a lifelong sport that can be played at any age, so start your kids early! Summer junior golf group instruction begins Tuesday, May 28, at Twin Peaks Golf Course and Tuesday, June 4, at Ute Creek Golf Courses. No registration or experience are needed; just drop in and have fun! Visit GolfLongmont.com and click on the “Lessons” tab under your preferred course, or call the course for details

Longmont Triathlon Weekend 
Swim, bike and run! Longmont Recreation & Golf Services, along with Altitude Physical Therapy, presents the annual Longmont Triathlon Weekend for kids and adults June 1-2 at Centennial Pool, 1201 Alpine Street. Visit LongmontColorado.gov/rec, RaceEntry.com, or Active.com for race information, or pick up a registration form at any City of Longmont recreation facility. Registration ends at noon on Wednesday, May 29, and resumes in person Friday, May 31, during packet pickup. Volunteers are needed! Call Sara at 303-774-4771 to volunteer.

Summer Camps at the Longmont Museum
Longmont Museum summer camps in June and July still have few open spots for kids ages 3-16. Keep the young people in your life learning and having fun this summer with hands-on camps in history, art, music, culture, science, and more. Museum members get 10% off registration fees. Downtown Concerts Begin May 31
Love dancing in the street to live outdoor music? Head downtown to 4th Avenue at Kimbark Street for the free Friday night Downtown Summer Concerts. Mark your calendar for 6 to 9:30 pm every Friday from May 31 – with local favorite Face Vocal Band – through June 28, as well as July 26. Learn About Drones at the Library
Drones, known also as UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) or RPAS (remotely piloted aerial systems), are here, and they don’t seem to be going away any time soon. Come to the Longmont Public Library at 409 4th Avenue to learn everything you need to know about these futuristic, flying robots in the program “Drones: The Future is Now” from 7 to 8 pm on Thursday, June 6. Richard Koehler will discuss the rise of drone use, rules and regulations governing drones, ethical considerations, how and when to use drones, and current controversies surrounding them.
