City Thanksgiving Holiday Schedules
Longmont city government observes the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27. On Thursday all City facilities will be CLOSED. On Friday all facilities will be closed except the Longmont Museum and the Longmont Recreation Center, Centennial Pool and the Ice Pavilion, which will be open regular hours by reservation. The Waste Diversion Center will be closed through November 28. Thursday trash, recycling and composting will be collected on Friday.
Longmont Museum to Close Temporarily Due to Increased COVID-19 Restrictions
In an effort to slow the infection rate of COVID-19 and comply with the new restrictions of the county’s transition to Safer at Home Level Red: Severe Risk, the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center will be closed to in-person visits until further notice beginning November 20 at 3 p.m.

Library Building Closed; Services Continue
Due to rising COVID-19 infection rates, the Longmont Public Library has closed the building to the public. Curbside Delivery service, computer reservations by appointment, and all online services continue. Library staff are in the building during business hours to help patrons by phone and by email. Protect Yourself from Identity Theft
Join Longmont Police Detective Steve Desmond from 8:30 to 10 am on Wednesday, December 9, for a virtual workshop on how to protect your identity. You’ll learn about different types of identity theft and what to do if your identity is stolen, as well as how to spot and prevent several types of fraud. Longmont: The First 150 Years
A new book by Longmont Museum Curator of History Erik Mason that commemorates the 150th anniversary of Longmont’s founding is now available in the Longmont Museum Gift Shop at 400 Quail Road.
